Hardware & Devices I bought this laptop a while ago. There was already Windows 7 installed on it and running perfectly. I was dumb and decided to install a new fresh copy of win 7 on it without backing up the drivers. After the install i didnt know where to find the drivers, so i googled and downloaded them. Software So basically to cut a very long story short, I've got Windows 7 installed on my Packard Bell, I can't boot it (keep getting stuck at the 'Windows Starting' boot) but, I have however managed to boot Ubuntu from disc. What I want to know is, can I locate the recovery folder, to be used by Smart.

Packard Bell Laptop Reviews
A friends father has just died and amongst his possessions was a Packard Bell EasyNote TE69KB laptop. My friend wanted to know what was on the laptop but no power-supply had been found. This was easily solved but now on attempting to boot the laptop it gives a message which says 'Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed'. Dell external floppy disk drive. It then asks for the recovery media. However the recovery media cannot be found either. I took the HD out and connected it to a PC so I could see whether the HD had failed completely or there was just a software problem.
The HD itself appears to be in good working order but the reason it wouldn't boot was the fact that it appeared to have been low-level formatted so there were no partitions on the drive. I tried to get the system to boot using a Linux DVD but the original error message is always displayed (and yes I did change the boot order in the BIOS), I also tried with a Windows DVD but got the same result even though the DVD appears to be read. Has anyone out there got any ideas has to how to get round this problem or why I can't get a new OS to load?
